Dallas/Ft. Worth IRS Locations

IRS Office Dallas – 1100 Commerce St, Dallas, TX 75242  


This IRS office is located inside the Earle Cabell Federal Building, along with other agencies such as the State Department, offices of Congressional Representatives, US Courts. It is located at 1100 Commerce St, Dallas, TX 75242, in downtown Dallas on the corner of Commerce and S. Griffin.

Parking

There are parking lots on the corner of Commerce and S. Griffin St. in front of the Federal building; behind the Federal building at S. Griffin and Jackson St.; and at S. Griffin and Wood Street. Daily parking rates in the area range from $6 – $10 depending on location. Parking Rates subject to change without notice.

Public Transportation

DART’s downtown East and West Transfer Centers, plus Rosa Parks Plaza, provide convenient locations to transfer between bus routes and to and from rail stations and are located within about 1–3 blocks from the Dallas Passport Agency.

Security

Security is pretty heavily enforced as is with most federal offices. You will remove anything containing metals so you can pass through the metal detector. Your bags will go through an x-ray search.

Taxpayer Advocate Service

This IRS office is located in North Dallas, off of I-635 and Dallas North Tollway, close to Bush Intercontinental Airport. It is in the Wells Fargo building which houses other private offices and businesses. Parking is free.

This office provides Facilitated Self Assistance (FSA), a self-assistance computer kiosk with an IRS employee available to assist you with navigating the IRS.gov website.  With FSA, you can access the IRS.gov website to complete a number of IRS-related tasks or get more information on the following subjects:

IRS Office Fort Worth – 819 Taylor St, Ft. Worth, TX 76102 


This IRS office is located inside the Fritz G. Lanham Federal Building, along with other agencies such as the State Department, offices of Congressional Representatives, US Courts. It is located at 1100 Commerce St, Dallas, TX 75242, in downtown Dallas on the corner of Commerce and S. Griffin.

Building amenities include a cafeteria, snack bar, fitness facility and a health unit. It was recognized as an ENERGY STAR® qualified building in 1999. The lobby interior boasts white marble walls, floors, and support columns.

Since 1966, the Fritz G. Lanham Federal Office Building has accommodated several federal agencies as they accomplish their mission and serve the public. It currently houses agencies such as the Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue Service, National Weather Service, and National Labor Relations Board.
