How to make an appointment

If you require face-to-face service at the Austin IRS office, you must call 844-545-5640 to schedule an appointment.

Once you make an appointment, you will receive an automated email confirming the day and time of your appointment.


Limited parking is available in the Rundberg Square parking lot.

  1. My son passed away this year and was pending a tax refund. Am I able to obtain the return? He had no will. He resided with me due to mental illness. I did claim him as a dependent on my taxes.

      You may find the following publication helpful. “Decedent as your dependent: If the decedent qualified as your dependent for a part of the year before death, you can claim the dependent on your tax return, regardless of when death occurred during the year.”
