  1. I filed my first tax return in 2018, and when I filed a certain amount was automatically deducted from my return, the amount that was deducted was mandatory tax I had to pay towards a unknown federal estate, now what federal estate, I don’t know but what. I do know is the IRS confirmed to me that the amount deducted was for federal estate tax, now when I looked into what federal estate tax and the tax rate for the year I filed the threshold was 11.4 million dollars, how do I find out what multi million dollar estate I am apart of.

    • Perhaps you may have misheard? It could be “federal & state taxes” that were withheld, not federal estate taxes.

  2. My husband sent our Federal Income Forms with a check certified on April 8, 2019 and it was delivered at on April 11, 2019. We still have received the signed and our check has not be processed through our bank. We’re getting a little concerned because the check was a large amount and don’t want to be lost. Could you help us out?
