I can’t get anyone on the phone except automated that tells me they can’t give me any info.
I can’t get any info on the “Where’s my refund” website by the IRS.gov.
I -mailed- my papers in April of 2022 for my 2021 taxes and we’re in July now and haven’t received my refund still. How do I find out about it????
According to the IRS website, some paper filed returns are taking up to 120 days for processing. So that could be why you are not seeing any information in “Where’s my refund.” https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue
I’m in the same situation. I filed in March of 2022 232 days later and I still haven’t gotten my refund. When I check the status it states “we cannot provide any information about your refund….”
I received a letter dated March 7 stating we were due a refund from the 2019 tax return. Nearly four months later, I don’t have the refund and cannot get through on the telephone. What am I supposed to do now?
You can try checking the status of your refund online: https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If you owe back taxes, the refund could have been applied towards your balance due.
Would jt be best to make appointment to get transcript of 2018 filing? Person at USVI is claiming our taxes have not been paid even though we have dated of copy provided to them multiple times now.
If you need a transcript, you can get that by online or by mail: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript If you need to show that your taxes have been paid, your tax account transcript will indicate that.
To get a copy of your tax return, you will have to fill out Form 4506 and mail it to the address listed on the form: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-4506
